I was out today for the first time with my Weuaste Android Auto / Carplay device -- using it in Android Auto mode.

It worked okay for a while but then it developed a screen instability, with the map jumping between showing the whole route and then my present position. Often it would show my present location for less than second before jumping to the overview. I placed held my phone right next to the Weuaste head at one point and it still did it, so it's unlikely to be bluetooth or WiFi signal strength.

Throughout all of this, the next turn data in the upper left of the screen was accurate as were turn-by-turn directions, so my phone in my tank bag clearly knew where I was and was communicating location data correctly to the AA screen.

      Any thoughts?

      Thanks,
      Vinnie

@Vincent-Curren I had the same glitch when I had the offline maps stored on my sd card. When they were on the phone no glitch anymore

@Marinus-van-Deudekom Thanks for that, Marinus. I had downloaded the files to the phone, but they were in the phone's memory, not on a memory card. Interesting, though -- it seems like the issue could somehow be speed of the connection between the two devices. I will have to ride around a little more to see if the problem is a regular issue.

I was using MRA entirely in offline mode. The area (in Mexico) where I was riding has very little connectivity. I wonder if that might be a factor too.

          Thanks again,

          Vinnie
