Multiple route export possibility wanted
-
We organised a tour through Norway which holds 23 routes. When "Exporting" these routes to the GPS using the connector, you would have to do that one by one.
18 participants, 23 routes = 414 times:- Open a route,
- Click Export
- Click Export
- Click Open route
- Click select device
- Click the selected device
- Click Export to Device.
Thats exactly 2898 clicks to go.
Requests:
-
Make the Connector remember the last device type (GPX1.1 RTP) etc).
Possible solution: Store the default device-type (same choices as Select device in connector) in the user profile. Change connector so it can be called with this default device (parameter). Very nice to have for everyone. -
Create a possibility to export multiple routes to the same device from a overview screen (as you already do with move, save as and remove). Even if this was limited to a certain number of routes it would be of great help.

It has been requested many times and is on the ToDo list for major maintenance.

@Hans-van-de-Ven-MR-MRA Nice. Is a list of wishes/issues, at least which are approved to be cretaed/fixed, available for users? Would be handy to know and saves tickets too

No, not yet available to users, the development team is collecting these, they will publish them in due course and then prioritize and decide what can be achieved. -

@Gerard-Wullink Until those changes have been made, it's probably a lot less work not using "Export", but "Save as" instead. This does support saving multiple routes at the same time and will give you a zip-file containing GPX files, which you can send by e-mail (or any other mechanism you like) to your fellow travellers.

@Herko-ter-Horst Hello Herko, I know the Save as option. At our MC we noticed that when using a Zumo 3/5series the result on the gps differs between the export and save as function.
Apparently the import/conversion of a saved gpx file, which is placed in the GPX dir on the GPS, differs from the export function.
If you use a saved gpx file containing Track, Route and POI the Zumo3/5 does not show hard waypoints other than Start and End of the route. If you use Export it will show them. -
