Distance 0 mi, Duration 1 min
-
When you open a route, the initial info always shows Distance 0 mi, Duration 1 min...
Obviously not correct.
-
@Eugene7 that is definitely not the case for all routes Are these imported routetracks?
-
My loops are showing accurate time and distance.
Can you share your route by making it public, and we can try and decipher what's not working. (Change the start/stop point if it's sensitive - like your home.)
Thanks.
-
I've shared a TEST route - made it Public.
Hope that works.
The routes are all generated via TYRE, as that is our preferred method for generating routes. -

shared
Please share the URL of the route here ... That way we don't have to search for your route in your account if we can even find your account since your forum nick may not be the same as your account name....

The route has been made using the TomTom planning map. Not recommend for MRA Navigation.
-
@Nick-Carthew Even though that is correct, it does not explain the behaviour of the app @Eugene7 is showing. It seems like the app was unable to calculate the route... That has nothing to do whether or not the route was made in TomTom or HERE, surely discrepancies may occur but that's irrelevant for now imho regarding the issue @Eugene7 has.
What I do notice is that the route he shared with us has 12 waypoints, and his has 13. What happened there? It seems like his app calculated directly to the end which is also almost his start position.
Anyhow, I cannot explain the app behaviour based on this shared route. There seems nothing wrong with it.

@Stefan-Hummelink Yes, all very true. I was merely pointing out that the TomTom planning map had been used.

Hehe I know.
-
@Stefan-Hummelink Also interesting or strange is that the map on the screenshot that @Eugene7 shared is not in focus. And the route title is different.
-
Ignore the TEST route...
I stupidly made it in MyRoute, not in TYRE.
As said, the issue is with routes made outside of MyRoute. -
Here is another Test route that has the issue: https://www.myrouteapp.com/en/social/route/9123837?mode=share
-
@Eugene7 Again this is caused because the TomTom map has been used for planning the route and the onscreen message tells you this. Press Navigate and after choosing to use as a route or a track the time and distance calculations are available. If using the track you will need to be online.
You can of course use the Compare with tool in the route planner to align the HERE route to the TomTom route. -
@Eugene7 Interesting, I just checked the metadata of this route and can indeed confirm that distance / duration is not set (therefore the app displays these values).
Did you import the route and that's it? Metadata is updated on every waypoint placement / adjustment but if you never modified anything that might explain why information is missing!
-
@Eugene7
In "New Test" there is no Waypoint 25?
Waypoint 26 is duplicated. -
True - it is a duplicated point - makes no difference to the issue though.
Seems any externally generated routs show zero duration when imported into MyRoute... -
@Eugene7 so when importing a route, this is indeed the issue? I can fix that!
Can you confirm that simply dragging one waypoint slightly updates the route information correctly? (or adding / removing one, just any route manipulation to be fair)
-
I’ve definitely seen that when I imported my old Basecamp routes. All had zero time and distance until I “touched” them
-
@Dae-0 thanks! I’ll get that sorted
