Setting start/ time points

Is there a way I can have more than one start point on a route? ie I am planning a multi day trip and would like to set the distance and time to zero at the beginning of each day without having to have multi number of trips to load

That is not possible.
But I would divide the route per day.

You can plan your route as a whole and then split it up (gold function).

@Kevin-Bowran you can also start each day by long pressing on your chosen starting point.

I find it easier to define one route that is the whole journey, then separate routes for each day.
