New update! (4.0.6)
-
Hey everyone! A new update is coming! Probably available to all on Wednesday. Probably available to all on Wednesday. We are working quite a lot on CarPlay / Android Auto / App Stability so there aren't as many new features. We are trying to take our time to finetune the app behavior / common issues! Audio settings
One common issue was that users were not able to select a pretty voice In this update, you can now select the desired voice (in Android even the desired engine). By doing so, you select the voice specifically used by our app. Before this, the only option to change the voice for the app was to change the default voice of the phone (which is not always very desirable). In this update, you can now select the desired voice (in Android even the desired engine). By doing so, you select the voice specifically used by our app. Before this, the only option to change the voice for the app was to change the default voice of the phone (which is not always very desirable). POI support Finally A feature that should have been there since day one! A feature that should have been there since day one!
The POI's that you've added in the Routeplanner are now displayed in the app too. While navigating, you can add this POI to your route by long pressing it. New pause icons Recently, the Routeplanner got support for new pause icons. This version of the app now also supports all these new icons! New, more minimalistic information popup Sometimes a simple message in the app would be displayed too prominently. This resulted in the map being obfuscated. For all messages that do not require user interaction, we now show a different notification. Minor changes - Long pressing on the map while navigating, adds that point to the route
- Fixed minor bug where sometimes a location (search result) could not be added to the route
- Added support for Remotek One bluetooth controller
- Improved logic to where search results / POI's should be added as waypoint along the route
- Better error descriptions
- CarPlay displays roundabout images correctly (even though the indicated exit angle might be incorrect, that's a HERE issue)
- Updated HERE SDK to newest (4.16.1)
 Known issues
We are working quite a lot on all known issues and perfecting the general app experience. Besides that we have some issues with HERE and believe me, we are in touch with them quite intensively to ensure we receive good support and a 'quick' improvement. What's next
We will mainly be focussing on stability and not as much on pushing new features. We still got quite a nice long list of user requests so we will definitely keep checking those off Cheers,

CorjanYou say you're having some issues with HERE. Does that mean the battery-drain issue is still not resolved? In all other respects, I love the app, but would be great if this could be resolved.

@GarySN Correct, that is not yet resolved Thanks for the updates!! Not sure, but is it possible to show the current speed when not navigating, but just using the map view and recording the ride?

Corjan@Corjan-Meijerink in the audio settings what are the TTS engines? Why would I select one over the other?

@Corjan-Meijerink in the audio settings what are the TTS engines? Why would I select one over the other?
@Doug-Robinson In all honesty, no idea why you would want this but itβs an Android thing Different engines simply offer different voices
Iβd say, give it a try! These are the default engines on your phone but as itβs Android you can install another engine with a whole different custom voice.
