Is there a way to view just the map on a PC without the Create scenic roundtours box permanently showing? and without having to create a route?

Sometimes when I like to have a look at maps and places before deciding to plan routes

Also when in Routelab if you click on the map it puts a point on the map and you cannot remove this which is rather annoying

To remove the route point, click on it to open it and then click the trash can to delete it.

@stuart-marritt I had the same problems. My solution: create a route, delete all waypoints and you will have an „ empty route“ without any content. When you lock the (non existing) waypoints you can move the map around.

        Kindly regards

Thanks but that's not an option in routelab

@stuart-marritt There is a possibility to switch on a confirmation for adding new point - there is a question displayed then and you can choose NO. That was the best solution for me.
