Beta 3.2.5 Can't load Routes
-
Beta 3.2.5
Can't load recently produced routes. Routes generated on my Mac with web (Chrome) interface. This is the message I get.
So sadly I can't test the navigation on my bike rides...
-
@Greg-Meekings-0 This error message happens even before entering the Navigation.
My guess would be a connectivity issue or something strange going on with those routes.
Also, cycle / hiking routes are not yet really supported by the Navigation app so I wouldnβt really get into that yet It should however work within the Mobile app part (where you currently are). So again, probably your internet / something with those routes. Please try again later / with other routes
Sorry for the inconvenience.

@Corjan-Meijerink maybe this information can help. I also experience the same error, but only in a "route" that only have waypoints, and not a designed route
-
here is the link to the "route" I'm talking about:

-
@Jose-Pinheiro-0 That one indeeds shows an error on my side too. A route without waypoints indeed isnβt really a route so the app does not like it.
I think the error message comes from the fact that statistics cannot be calculated (due to no waypoints)
-
@Corjan-Meijerink right. I understand that make sense
-
Thanks but I don't have internet or comms problems and my routes do have way points...
If I copy and edit i.e. add a waypoint it still fails. If I recreate the route from scratch it works?!? -
@Greg-Meekings-0 Please share the route that cannot be loaded by the app
-
@Corjan-Meijerink This is one ofn the routes that fails to load in the 3.2.5 Beta https://www.myrouteapp.com/en/social/route/6337640?mode=share

@Corjan-Meijerink could this be an "old" bug from the Navigation app? Transport mode is set to cycling. It crashes right away for me too. I remember seeing this same behavior in the Navigation app!
It is not possible to change the transport mode in Routelab. If you can do that behind the scenes, it would be worth a try.Edit: Bizarre! After loading one of my own routes, I opened the route from topic starter again. Now the route opens and I can also navigate.
-
@Rob-Verhoeff Not a problem with simply cycle mode, one of my cycles routes does open. I have also recreated several cycle routes and they do load ok. Its obscure, perhaps some sort of version incompatibility since resolved...
-
Will be investigated! Thanks for the extra input
-
I can confirm that the issue has been identified and fixed.
The changes will automatically be applied coming Monday / Tuesday. No user action required -
@Corjan-Meijerink Great I will check it out next week - after Christmas. Have a good one!
-
@Greg-Meekings-0 Thanks! You too
-
I can confirm the issue is solved as of today
Maybe another issue now arises but that is something you will probably let me know -
@Corjan-Meijerink
For me, prior to todays update I was able to run android routes most of the time and only encountered the occasional crash of a route instantly on selecting it.
The routes that did occasionally crash first time would then open on a second attempt for me.I have just tried again on android opening 30 different routes and have not had a crash yet.
I did a test route a couple of days ago on Android using the built in screen recorder on Android.

https://youtu.be/S-DyyaN2T1ADo you think this is a valid way of testing?
The only thing I noticed from the video was that the voice commands would sometimes have a slight glitch, that I think is caused by the fact that the built in Android screen recorder is running in the background?I will be testing Android and iOS at the same time tomorrow using this method, with a 9β iPad in my Tank Bag and the Android phone on the handlebars.
And of course the Zumo XT in case it all goes pear shaped. -

https://youtu.be/HThlLu5EsPsFor me I am still occasionally seeing a route crashing on Android when selecting a route in Beta 3.2.5 - 146.
It seems to be completely random for me and on re-selecting the same route it will then appear.
In the video you will see that the 3rd route I open crashes to the home screen.Phone: Galaxy S10 5G

@Steve-Lynch Thanks, we are aware of this and will resolve it in an early update this year.
-
@Greg-Meekings-0 There was another issue that resulted in this route not being loaded. I can confirm this has been fixed now
