hotel picture shown on arrival
-
Whilst watching the EN presentation last night by Serge and Nick, it was mentioned that on arrival to your hotel , if you have added a picture into the waypoint that this will then be shown.
I have never had this and when asked about it, Serge replied that the option has to enabled in the menu to show info on waypoints.
Can anyone direct me to what menu I should be looking for.
I have gold lifetime in both route planner and navigation (Next)TIA

@rcs, Serge was probably talking abou the Navigation settings meny, submenu screenlayout, there is a section "route points" where you can enable info on All routepoints or just Via points.

@rcs The pictures that you add to route points will not be shown during navigation as it would be a distraction. When you open your route you can view the pictures before navigating. Serge was referring to any information that you add in the notes. This can be displayed on screen and read aloud to you.
To enable this firstly you'll need to have added the information in the notes.
I tend to only add information to via points, otherwise all shaping points are mentioned which can be too much.
Go to Navigation settings > Audio > Waypoint notifications and select Via
This will allow your note information to be read aloud to you.
Now go to Navigation settings > Screen layout > Waypoints and again select Via
This will allow your note information to displayed on screen as scrolling text.
The audio and display of the Via point information starts at 2km before the via point. -

@rcs class dismissed, it's weekend now

One more small comment:
Even with Waypoint notifications set to All, it will not be read aloud when there is no note, and the waypoint name has a decimal number in it (like uninteresting addresses usually have). My own method is to rename the waypoint into something without a decimal number in it, and leave the note only for when extended information is needed. That way also shapingpoints can have information read aloud, and it is prevented or uninteresting addresses to be read aloud. -
