Automatically Skipping (shaping) Waypoints in Apple Carplay
-
Hello All.
I have been a MRA user for a Long time already. It is my only Routeplanner which I have been using for more than 10 years already. Until recently, I always used my TomTom rider for the routes I have created.
I have now switched (and bought) the actual Navigation from MRA as well as my new bike has Apple CarPlay available.
As a new user of the navigation feature, I might have missed something, but when I miss a waypoint (due to road closure) the waypoint is not automatically skipped in the carplay version, although I have made that setting on my phone. Sometimes not even the manual skip is shown.
Is this a bug or am I missing something in my process?I have searched on this forum for similar questions, but everything mentioned in there I already am doing. eg the checking of proper placement of shaping points as this was always an issue when transferring to TomTom.
Many thanks in advance,
Ronald -

I can confirm that skipping waypoints does not differ from the native app to a AA/CP device. Remember that a waypoint never gets skipped on the first occasion, and that the skipping algorithm allows the unreachable waypoint the be the next one after a recalculation, since it seemingly does not now about the closure.
When you skip manually, it is still possible that the quickest route to the next waypoint goes over the skipped waypoint. It all depends on road layout and placement of waypoints.
