My total riding time is 2hrs. Total trip time is 7hrs. I’d just like to have an option to see only my riding time, so when I pause the track log it pauses the timer.

@Con-Hennekens legt het goed uit. Er is ook een andere uitleg. Een Route-Track is een track die in het GPX bestand zit wanneer in MRA of Basecamp of andere routeplanner een route gemaakt hebt en deze als GPX opslaat.

It enables to share MRA download links with maintained route information, but limited to track download. Don't ask me why, but many tour managers fancy that (their way or no way...) Also, it is nice to have a track available if you want to check routes for differences. Lay the routetrack behind your route to see where it deviates from the original routetrack. I am sure there will be some TLC from the developers for features like this, in the upcoming web planner overhaul (but don't hold your breath).
