Statement on map spinning

Hi MRA-Team,

I recently updated my navigation solution to a Caretta from Carpe Iter, MRA App & MRA Gold.
Unfortunately, already in my first test ride, I also ran into this error. In rural areas it might just be annoying, but in big cities, with complex intersections including multiple exits where a wrong turn can easily cost 15min detour, this could be a dealbreaker for me.
MRA is the preinstalled and well integrated navigation App at Carpe Iter and I am a bit surprised, that such an obvious error still seems to be unfixed after half a year.
Is there a bugfix on the way?
Or maybe a workaround where the App relies (more) on the compass of the device instead of the GPS position, if you are not moving?

Sorry for the harsh post, but after spending a premium price for a Caretta + a Gold membership, expectations were pretty high.

The bug is fixed in the beta for version 6 which has just been released.
If you are not a beta, you will have to be a little more patient, ETA not known but probably soon.

I’m a beta user and my current version is 5.2.2-489.
I was travelling with this version in Bulgaria and Turkey until 6 September 2026. Unfortunately, the rotation issue when stopping was still present. That’s my experience.

We know Google is taking a lot of time for releasing updates lately...

It should be fixed from the beta of version 6. Which is just released but maybe not on your phone yet.

Both smartphones (see signature) are up to date; I’ve just checked again. The updates usually installed quickly. When was version 6 released?

Not planned for public release yet.
It’s now in beta.
Release will be somewhere in the later part of October.

@hawebo The iOS BETA update has been released by Apple, Google generally take a little longer to release the Android BETA update. Please be patient.
