Update 5.2.2 - Quick fix

Exact but Apple Maps is

Exact but Apple Maps is

I thought we where talking about the slow release of Google not Apple..
I do not see the relation between a navigation app and Apple and Goole maps and the point that they will postpone the release, I think Apple will have never heared about MRA

Google his bussiness model is getting data, as much as possible, and sell it to other companies.
Even if you get an API key you have to be carefull how many data you query otherwise they will khow how to get your money.
On the other hand the data you get out of google maps is mostly quite accurate. -
Now available on the Android Play Store

The Google Play Store app update has taken a very long time, it would be interesting to know what the reason was, because the iOS app update was already available 3 weeks ago. This time span is not really comprehensible. VG

VG

it was the same with the previous update if I remember correctly.
-
I agreeāthis long wait is definitely not justified.
Like I said, it was just a small update!
Maybe the appās developers could reach out to Google and ask why itās taking so disproportionately long and if thereās anything that can be done about it.

They simply need to make the app file available for download on the MyRoute-app website; while it is true that this was only a minor update, had it been a critical fix, the delay in availability for Android users would have been unacceptable.

I think that if what you're suggestion was indeed that simple, they would have grabbed that possibility a long time ago.
I have trust in the devs and there willingness to do the best for the app and the users.
Whatever they decide is fine by me -

@ginogino, sideloading apps can create a hose of problems concerning the current (not yet recognized) update over an PlayStore initiated version, and also future PlayStore updates over an unrecognized sideloaded version. Also sideloading needs some (not difficult) actions to allow "unknown sources", which in turn makes android vulnerable if not reversed.
I think if MRA went that way, we could expect a new forum category that no-one would really want to look into
Let's just hope Google will better themselves... -
fwiw, it hit my Google Play account yesterday and I was able to update. It did fix the problem with the auto switching between day/night modes. Unfortunately, my other problems remain unresolved.
