Update 5.2.2 - Quick fix
-
Hi all!

We are quickly preparing a release of version 5.2.2.
Nothing exciting but quite important.Due to long summer nights nobody in the Alpha / Beta group actually drove with the app at night time

Now that sun sets earlier and rises later a rather critical issue has surfaced. When your map theme is set to automatic but it's night and you connect to CarPlay or Android Auto, there is a possibility everything gets stuck.
Workaround
Set map style to light or dark and reconnect to CarPlay / Android Auto.Anything else?
No. It's a hotfix purely focussing on this issue. I've only incorporated some other small improvements based on some logs. No features or anything you will notice.Expected release
Everybody say something nice to Google
We will do an Alpha test tonight and then submit to Beta + Release at the same time.Cheers,

I have seen the same without using Android Auto (driving often through tunnels). App (5.2.1) doesn't always recover from dark mode.

I basically drive with the day setting and that also into the night, for example in the tunnel the switching with automatic has bothered me a lot ...

Ich fahre grundsätzlich mit der Tag Einstellung und das auch in die Nacht hinein, zum Beispiel im Tunnel hat mich das Umschalten bei Automatik sehr gestört …

Well, that's your choice. For those that choose different options then update 5.2.2 should fix their issues.
Congrats to @corjan-meijerink for coming up with a fix in super quick time.
