How to share a route with someone that only has the free app

Hello, I'm going on a trip to the Blue Ridge parkway with a friend that can't afford the app at this time. I think there is a free version that he could download. If he has the free version, and I share the route with him, will the route work for him as far as turn by turn instructions? I have the Gold membership. I'm hoping for another sale on the lifetime plan that he can afford.

@Mike-wiruth No, you need a subscription for MRA Navigation Next for turn by turn instructions. There is a free version of the website route planner and mobile app, this will allow your friend to create routes using the planning map from OpenStreetMap.

@Mike-wiruth Your friend could also sign up for a free two week trial. Also, I believe that a navigation subscription can be paid for on a monthly basis, less than a tank of gas!

@Mike-wiruth Even if you have the Gold membership, you will not be able to navigate with the MRA app. Like @nick-carthew said, you need a Navigation Next license for that. A monthly subscription On Navigation Next is probably less that a single pint in a restaurant...
