Make locking the screen easier

Ok, just my 2 cents on this....
I would love to be able to lock the screen with menu (3 dots) and all the other buttons above it not taking room on the screen. Is that too much to ask for? Maybe a tripple tap or whatever other means are there. There is not that much room on the phone screen to begin with.@Lenny-O Long press the 3 dots of the navigation menu will lock the screen.
