Live Map Updates

Hi All,
I was wondering if Live Map Updates is offered with the Navigation Next subscription, as you can see from the very detailed highlighting the road is closed on Google maps, yet MRA took me to a closed road yesterday. The road has been closed since 20th April.

No it is certainly not live and depends on the Here map. However roadworks van be available when you've selected traffic info

So I can’t successfully navigate a route in confidence due to the app not knowing if the route is blocked or accessible?

This is about closures in the app. In Norway new closures appear very quick in the app. Dont know about other countries.

The ones that are known at Here will appear, the others dont. Takes you on wonderfull Adventures and have fun. MRA will help you with a solution

It's not the navigation app! It depends on the street worker to announce road blocks to map manufacturers. They have to work down hundredthousands of messages each year - which takes time.

@Guzzist I do not particularly agree with you as road workers do not have that responsibility, I was asking mainly as some of the other "free" aps do have Live Update. MRA does not fair enough, i was just a bit shocked that it did not.

@Marinus-van-Deudekom Its the ones that are not known I have issues with, wonderful adventures are amazing, but sat at a closed bridge when MRA does nothing was not so great. I have apple maps app but it seems a bit counter productive to get stuck with MRA then have to switch apps to navigate me from the road closure.

Unexpected things will keep on happening.
Zoom out a bit and help MRA finding a solution for you. Your own brain is always better than a machine like MRA. Sometimes it just needs a little help. Have fun

Live traffic is usually OK to pick up problems. Notified roadworks and closures are a bit hit and miss. Certainly on Tom Tom it has had road works marked on a road near me 6 months after they finished.

Actually it is not... Google and Apple are constantly tracing their users, and they can deduct closures from their movements. MRA nor HERE do evil things like that
