Mixed mode route
-
Looking to create a route. The very beginning is on highway to get out of the city and to the good stuff fast. In Garmin BaseCamp and CaliMoto I can just choose those segments to allow highway and avoid it for the rest of the route. I don't see a way to do this in MRA. Hoping this is easy and I'm just missing it.

@Mike-Luca-0 Segments are available but only when using the planning map from OpenStreetMap.
You could just use route points to determine your route. That’s what a route planner does best. -

From what i understand is, is that you want to avoid highway's and such?
This can be done under the Toolkit menu.
I am using the HERE map as default map due to the fact i'm using a Garmin Zumo XT as navigation device on 1 of my bikes beside the MRA Next app.
You can select or deselect the following "obstacles":
- Toll roads
- Highway's
- Ferries
- Rail transportation
- Tunnels
- Unpaved roads
- Environmental zone
Screenshot below is in Dutch, but it gives you an idea were to look.
Also, if you want to go from A to B (or as in your example, get as quick as possible away out the city and going to the good stuff) place a startpoint (waypoint) from were you want to start the route and place an end point at th elocation you want to go. If you set the options as shown in the screenshot correct, MRA routreplanner will create a route from A to B avoiding the items you checked.

@Mike-Luca-0, if you want to go out of the city as quickly as possible, just set your first waypoint outside of the city.

All good suggestions. Thanks. I already knew how to avoid highway but it’s a whole route setting, and placing huge amounts of waypoints to choose my escape will likely be what I do to work around this. I will also tinker with open street maps for segment control. Thank you all again.
