Today I was around trying the app, I was always offline, there was a moment when I changed the itinerary in the planner, then I activated the data to synchronise the library, I uploaded the itinerary and this happened that you see in Photo, can you tell me why?!IMG_1365.png

So, from what I read in the other post, if you edit a path in the Planner, you have to activate the data connection for the app (why are we talking about Wi-Fi?, do you have to be under Wi-Fi?), synchronise the library and then you can open the app to start the path, at that moment you can return to offline mode... correct what I write?

@Aiello-antonino that is correct in case of not having synced the routes before. If all routes are synced you fon”t need a wifi or other internet connection

But isn't the phone's data connection enough to synchronise?

@Aiello-antonino I think some people don’t have enough date connection, or their contract does not allow data connection, hence they use the offline mode. That is probably the reason why here Wi-fi is specifically mentioned. In my opinion the mobile phone data connection is enough.

@Aiello-antonino Yes it is but sometimes the data reception is poor of non existant

Hi, saw the same during one of my routes.

But I am not sure if this is the same problem.

                    Screenshot_20250619-074210.png

I asked already here in the forum for this and the answer was, the white line is the original Route and can be switched off in the settings. Ok, but why is it there?
To be honest, I did not really understand, so I made some tests and found something very easy. 😊

The Route was planned with the TomTom map originally (for Route calculation, not the overlay)
So you see the TomTom Route as the white line.

When I switch to HERE in planning and use the Route, the white line is gone. 🙄

@Jörgen the white line is supposed to be a "track" of the "original route",
I think the idea is so that when your route (blue line) on your device deviates from the planned path (because of recalculation or other factor) the "original route" (white line) allows you to easily see original planned path & where you should be

The issue @Aiello-antonino & I am describing has nothing do do with maps, overlay or otherwise,
it is purely down to the fact that when try to start navigating a route offline the "original route" is not always calculated correctly/accurately enough so that it matches the path of the roads

I believe it is because sometimes when the file is synchronized, in the name of efficiency, less points are used to represent the "original route"

If you plan a route with the Tomtom routing, then the path of the track associated with this route would naturally follow the roads in the Tomtom map
I would then expect when you show the Tomtom "original route" in the navigation app with the Here map, there would could be small differences, these differences would be differences between the Here & Tomtom maps
