Navigation volume too low? -> the solution for Android
-
There have been a lot of treads with regards to navigation volume too low (including my own ones). This has been an issue for a very long time. I don't know where the issue lies but I have finally solved the problem (for me). I wanted to share with you what I have done. It's very simple actually.
It seems that the Google TTS (Text-to-Speech) engine doesn't like third party apps (MRA) and keeps them at a lower volume than its own apps (Maps). All you need to do is to install this TTS engine and select it in MRA under the Audio settings. It's Open Source, free and works a treat.
https://f-droid.org/packages/org.woheller69.ttsengine/
There are plenty of voices to choose from. You can adjust the volume in the TTS settings (mine is set to 1 which is perfect).
It's free and works out of the box.
Problem solved (for me)
NOTE: this is only applicable for Android users!
