MyRouteApp with Android Auto is unusable the “second.”
-
Unfortunately, I have to repeat myself: MyRouteApp with Android Auto is unusable for me.
The autozoom does not work and then the app keeps hanging up so that it is no longer possible to determine the position. At the same time, routing via Google would work.
This can only be solved by forcing the app to stop and rebooting the phone. On a journey, this behavior is simply unacceptable - if more time is needed to somehow get the app again to work than to concentrate on driving. -
Too bad, almost 2 months have passed and still no feedback, no improvement, not even an answer - e.g. we are working on it, the problem is known...

@Daniel-Burkhard hi Daniel
It’s not the normal of our forum behaviour not to respond at all. So on behalfe of us all, sorry.
Witch version of the app do you use and witch phone is running. In the last updates the zoom function and stability Off the app have had great progress
If you respond I’ll promiss you to get back on that -

Then power on your bike or car with android auto and start MRA there. This is how its working perfectly for me with Samsung S24 Ultra and Chigee AIO-5 / Renault built in Android Auto in my car.
I have more than 1000 km done this way and it worked without any issues ! -

I have no idea what any of us could have added to your already decided opinion?
To be honest I could not even discover any questions to answer.
So my silence was intentional. -
I have had no problem with the app since about Christmas time and I'm just back in Ireland after 4 Days (1100Miles 1800km) using the App in Android auto with my 2021 MY Africa Twin in Scotland. I use two phones an Old Motorola G7 (Android10) and a Motorola Edge 40 Neo (Android 14). Both in Offline mode (the G7 does not have a cell phone card) with maps downloaded for the areas I will be travelling). I use App version 4.3.9-395. I have my phone in a bar bag on the bike with the screen turned off and it did not glitch on Friday on the Isle of Mull at 27c and the phone charges fully on a run. I've had a few issues with wired android auto on the bike
-
The first lead I used did not pass enough data (cured by using a 10Gbps UsbA to C lead)
-
My Android 14 phone by default had a warning that the battery was fully charged and the pop up caused AA to disconnect (Cured by shutting the warning off in Settings)
-
Occasionally aa will disconnect on particularly bumpy roads here in Ireland (the cable gets pulled out).
Beyond that the last few iterations of the App have been stable for me. I sometimes use Musicolet (Offline) or Spotify (Online) with the navigation app and these don't seem to interfere with its operation.
Not sure if this helps or not but if we had an idea of your setup and the circumstances of your glitches someone may be able to offer assistance.

Hello everyone,
perhaps I have expressed myself incorrectly - by no reply I do not mean the forum, but actually the manufacturer.
I use an Oppo Find X5 Pro with Android 15.x so the app, in conjunction with Android Auto, is a disaster. -

What type of device are you using for Android auto? I have a wired connection to my Honda Africa twin screen and a Wireless connection to my VW car. Both operate satisfactorily at the moment. Do you use the app offline or online? I use it Offline so don't know what problems might arise with online use.
-
I also use it for planned GPX routes (self designed) and use Google maps for point to point navigation so I have no experience od using Myroute App for point to point navigation or the scenic route options.
-
I use a Carpuride 702BS, but that's not the problem - the phone (or the MRA app) hangs. I had the same problem in the car with the car display.
I have not used MRA since May, I have given up the experiment (which I have not received an answer and see no progress with Android Auto), at that time it was probably 4.3.8 -
My only comment would be that you might want to try the app with an otherwise redundant phone. I use it with an old Motorola G7 on Android 10. I did a Factory reset on that phone and only run Navigation apps on it. Google maps for point to point. OSMand+ for offroad navigation and Myroute app for motorcycle road navigation and it works fine.
My Honda and my car both have dedicated GPS receivers built into the Android Auto head unit I believe that this is not the case for the Carpuride which means the phone has to do additional work locating the device in relation to the app. But at least if you give another phone a try you might be able to narrow down the issue to the app, phone, connection to the Carpuride or GPS signal. I don't know?? but those would be the type of issues I'd be trying to eliminate.
