@Rob-Kelley That is why it didn't work. As far as I know you need to have an active internet for such a trip.

So you are saying that if you don't have internet you are lost ... Then the app is useless ... What's the point of having offline maps then ?

Just tested it and with no internet I was able to let the app calculate a route to one of my favourites. So I don't know why it didn't work for Rob

MRA suggested Offline when I had no data signal, then it gave the error I posted.

@Rob-Kelley in the app settings and then functional you need to set you're setting to offline navigation. Did you download the offline maps you want to use. It looks like when you update the offline cards this setting is set to off.
