      Hello,

I have been using MRA for about 2 years now to plan our big camping trips.

I always plan our entire route in MRA, but it is very difficult to make an exact schedule.

I would like to be able to enter certain waypoints as overnight stops. It would therefore be nice if I could simply write a new start time at a waypoint instead of a break of X hours and then also see a date.

Maybe there are more people who would like to have such a function.

      Kind regards
      Tony

@Tony_U The way that I plan a route is to make everything into one great big route and use a start time for the first waypoint.

After guessing how long that I expect to be stopping at various points, this can be done with the Insert Pause feature I then roughly know when I am going to stop and plan accordingly.

Now if you look in the Toolkit, you will see a Split feature, using this will split off a portion of your route which can be renamed. I tend to use something like "Sweden 01" so the subsequent days follow in order.

Then reassign a new start time for the first waypoint (your last one from the previous day) with a new start time.

Hi, planning a multi-day tour in one piece has proved to be complicated and impractical for me.
A small change and all waypoints need to be recalculated.
A multi-day tour is better planned in daily stages.
Depending on the weather you plan different Routes per day.
The calculation of distance and time is so much easier.
          But everyone as they like.
I can only suggest this from experience.

          Hardware
          iPhone 12 pro (iOS 17.0.2)
          Oukitel RT3 (Andr. 12)
Samsung Galaxy XCover 4 (Andr. 9 Pie)
          Wireless CarPlay mit (Elebest C650)
Wired CarPlay (SEAT Arona - 2021)

When i plan a trip over multiple days i first check from where to where i want to go per day. This way i can create nice scenic routes or go through my collection of routes (either here on MRA or on my external usb ssd disc) and grab some bits and pieces here and there creating a scenic route.

Planning day by day from point a to point b gives you also a more and clearer view of how the roite looks like and its easier to change if you find a hotel or a place to stay for lunch/drinks/stops. And it's better to have an overview of the length of the route and the time you drive.

Creating 1 large route and then dividing it will give you a headache, believe me. You ought to know exactly were to split the route and know exactly the length and driving time. If you divide it just on sheer luck, you might end up with routes which are too long to drive for 1 day or too short, routes changes due to lesser waypoints, and so on.

For me it works better when i make route day by day at fixed start points (ie hotel/gas station/village for lunch).

I often plan tours over several days or weeks; I only make a rough plan in advance, which I then adapt to the conditions on the way and refine or re-plan accordingly.

The MRA web planner is not well suited for a complete overview; there are better alternatives. I use Furkot for the overview (for road tours) and the new DMD2 web planner ADVHub (for road/trail mix). I then plan the individual daily stages with MRA on this basis.

I hope overhauling the MRA web planner will also offer better options for multi-day-week planning.

@Tony_U What you're trying to do is making the trip complicated . You say that you've already booked the overnight stays so why make the total trip complicated. Al lost simpeler to plan per day. If you make one trip, the chances of mistakes are bigger so take our advise and cut the trip is parts

@Tony_U I plan my tours as individual days. I do however like to see the complete tour so I create an additional route then link in all of my daily routes. This is very quick and easy. Here's what this looks like for my next trip
