MRA - Events - what's this used for?
-
I'm currently organsing a group trip to Ireland and thought I'd use the 'Events' feature, I've created the Event (private) and added the routes and people that are coming.
I'm trying to understand what the benefits are of using Events over just setting the Route folder to Public, maybe I can control who sees the routes rather than open to all as Public?
I don't get the 'Timeline' option as that only allows the adding of tracklogs after the event, I'd like to add dates for each leg along with the start and end towns and details of the trip. -

It like an automatic travel log.

To clarify: it shows tracklogs + photos from participants that use MRA Navigation to drive the routes you upload.
I don't think the timeline can be used to add details ahead of the trip. Instead I would recommend:
- adding those details to the routes themselves
- give the routes names that include the date, as well as the start and end towns, they should be easy enough to find, for example
0617 (Tue) Rosslare - Corkfor a trip on Tuesday, June 17, from Rosslare to Cork.
By putting the month first, you can sort the routes by name to get them in chronological order.
