Offline kaarten makkelijk kiezen via een kaart

Maar heel eerlijk: spaar je de moeite... download gewoon heel Frankrijk. Wat is nou 2GB. Als dat niet past ben je sowieso aan een nieuw toestel toe. Eventueel haal je andere landen even eruit. En na je vakantie verwijder je Frankrijk weer

Dank voor het kaartje, het lijkt me een goed idee om dat kaartje in MRA beschikbaar te stellen zonder eerst te moeten opzoeken ...

Maar even over je kaartje dat niet helemaal overeenkomt met de benamingen uit de lijst :
Graag even verduidelijken waar de volgende streken uit uw lijst te vinden zijn of wat ik me daarbij moet voorstellen :

• Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (de twee dus samen ?)
• Nouvelle-Aquitaine
• Occitanië
• Grand Est
• Haut de France

Heb je hem ?

Waarom zou je een lange lijst maken met namen, als je het visueel veel makkelijker kan maken ?
Je ziet onmiddellijk wat je nodig hebt, geen verwarring mogelijk met andere benamingen ...

Hi @Francis-6 I agree it would be alot easier to pick the regions if they were displayed as a map card rather than a list.
MRA is not the only one to present a list for the options of the maps, it is quite a common format even if it is not the best.
Osmand has a nice featue where it displays a basic map with very limited detail for regions where the offline map has not been downloaded. When you zoom in on a region it pops up the option to ask if you wish to download so you can see more detail.

Unfortuantley if french regional geography is not your strogest point then the only option with MRA at the moment is to google "france region maps" & work out which maps will fit the areas you want, maybe like this one:- https://ontheworldmap.com/france/france-regions-map.html

Hi Brian,

Yes I agree, it would be easier and faster to be able to pick the region from a map than from a list.
Hence my suggestion

And not only for France, but for all countries where you present a list of regions.

Why would you want to refer MRA to something equally un-friendly as other programs doing the same list thing ?

Some (more friendly) apps do present a map to pick from, they even ask you if you want to download a map if it is needed for the route ...
(I'm referring to SkyDemon an air navigation app)

But hey, I rest my case, it was only a suggestion to make MRA an even better app than it already is.

prima idee. ben dit al bij andere app tegen gekomen en de werkt wel overzichtelijk. je kan dan precies zien welke dekking je hebt en wat je kan aanvullen of verwijderen.

Yes, of course it would be neat to select regions on a map. However I'd rather see devs squishing bugs and develop features, then drawing maps with regions from all over the world, just for you and me to spare a few Gigabytes.

Dat komt omdat dat kaartje van Hans niet meer representatief is voor de huidige situatie naar aanleiding van gewestelijke fuseringen in 2015 of zo. Dit is de correcte kaart, en de namen komen volledig overeen

Is it easy to implement? No!
Do we want it in the future? Yes!
Is it the current priority? No!

Just download it all for now, make life easy

Maybe there is an easy work around …
On top of the list present a map with the names of regions …
(If names are too long … numbers on the map will do fine to
Just one map to display, one can immediately see which regions are needed.
A simple picture explains 1000 times better than an list …
