Retain edited waypoint names
-
I find it really annoying when I have edited the names of waypoints ... and then have them overwritten when waypoints are moved. Sometimes they have to be moved slightly dur to other issues of the applications. When you update the web planner, please retain waypoint names. Cheers!

@RetiredWingMan I second this! +1. Hate it as well!
-
@RetiredWingMan It’s a good suggestion and one that has been suggested on more than one occasion. The note is retained but not the title. I’ve got in the habit of copying and pasting the title if I need to make an adjustment.

@Nick-Carthew Maybe I have misunderstood but when moving a waypoint a box appears suggesting a new address of the waypoint, if you just click cancel on that new box, then the waypoint in its new position retains its original details.
-
@Skellum what I do is adjusting the names of the shaping points at the END
-
@Marinus-van-Deudekom What I do is write the text in the "note" and in the adres I write a point "."
The text will stay in the "note" when the via point is replaced. -

Ya, This is caused by the setting you have set to that in the toolkit:
But if you do not have this setting enabled, because frankly it is quite annoying, any manual entered waypoint name is automatically rename to the address of the new postion by default. And exactly that, is what we'd like to have disabled.

"."
In that case, your "." will be auto-renamed to the applicable address upon moving the waypoint. Although your modified name was not that much more useful than having the address in that field, it still was manually changed by yourself and after the move even that simple "." is removed... again and again .

@Stefan-Hummelink But the text in the "Note" stays the same

@Huibertus Ya, that was already known to all and restated in this thread again

but why are some differences and in prnciple easy solutions so hidden.
Because the website is still up for a major overhaul! It's coming, just hold on, hold'on, Ho'don, Hodo(r)n!
