Update Maps Notification from main screen

There should be some notification or flag that pops up on the main screen that alerts to new map regions available for offline download. The only way I know there is an update is for me to go into the settings and offline maps.

I think people stress too much about having the latest map updates. The chance that you will be affected by not having the latest map is absolutely minimal.

I download maps at the beginning of riding season.

The frequency in which HERE presents map updates is too high for this, and the time it takes to download them is a real PITA of you press OK for the download too soon or underway by accident. I understand your wish, and it could be okay if the updates are e.g. 3 versions ahead of what you already have, and then with NO means of immediately starting the download (merely a message to go into the settings to download them).
