      As a camper user, I would like to have the option to put in the measures of our camper, so that in planning a route, we are not send on very small roads, low bridges etc. etc. Some big navigation companies have that (Sygic, TomTom), but there app's are very limited en closed, not like MRA.

        @George-Tabak As you say, some of the larger navigation companies have this feature. My guess is that it would be horrendously costly to implement for MRA. With all of the different map overlays and Google Streetview available to use, it isn’t difficult to design a route using MyRoute Routeplanner that avoids narrow streets and low bridges. Streetview is a very useful tool.

          @Nick-Carthew Thing is that the information already in the map files present is, Here, TomTom and even OpenStreetMaps provide it, the trick is how to make it available.

            @George-Tabak Another thing to consider is: Is there a demand for such a large time consuming update? This forum has had thousands of posts and as far as I am aware, your post is the first to ask for a possible update for campervans. The development team are constantly updating and improving the Navigation app and Routeplanner software to meet the needs and requests from the bulk of their users. If enough campervan users were to request such an upgrade, then I am sure that the development team would consider it. I know that this will not satisfy your request, but as I pointed out in my previous comment; there are ways to create a beautiful campervan route.

              @Nick-Carthew Agreed. If there is no demand, I get it. But if there is (and I think it is) AND it's not to hard to realize, why not?

                Come on campervan owners, is this a requirement?

                  @Nick-Carthew

                  In the UK alone, there are currently around 800 000 campervans and caravans. So the market is not that small.

                  But there are several categories of "special clients" next to campers that may be served with some addtional features. I think of trucks, busses and coaches, ...

                  Too some extend MRA is already catering with options such as "avoid toll roads, avoid highways ... Extra options such as "avoid city centres, avoid tiny mountain roads ... " may be better than a develoment for one specific user category.

                  in addtion, and partly for the same purpose, I would like to see a function that puts a flag every x00 km along the route that I am preparing which would help cutting a one-week trip in pieces. Which brings me to the scheduled POI update. It would be brilliant, for electrical car owners, to have the charging stations on MRA

                    You can set your flag as a routepoint, give is a red color, change the name into stop 1 etc and fill the note. I that way you can plan your entire holiday and cut the route in daytrips at the red routepoints

                      Having a large number of these on the road doesn’t necessarily create a demand for an update. As I said in my reply, as far as I know this is the first request.

                        @Nick-Carthew I agree, that is why I would propose not to cater for an individual group of (potential) users, but to add additional filtering and searching features that can apeal to all users.

                          @Hans-van-de-Ven-MRA-Master Hai Hans,

                          Yes, I know, and maybe my question is only a consequence of how I use the routeplanner for a holiday.

                          Flags along the route (or different colors for x00 km stretches) that are auto recalculated when I make routechanges would be helpful.

                            @George-Tabak For me it would be a great addition. I myself have a large camper and always take the engine with me in the camper.
                            Previously I used the sygic camper app where the dimensions and weight of the camper can be entered. This app is not really nice to work with and there are many errors in the navigation. the option to report a problem is far away and even after a few years of use and several updates it has never become a really nice navigation.
                            I now use a tomtom camper navigation in the camper, but it is really slow and planning routes is not as nice as with myroute. so for me 1 environment to plan for the motorcycle and the camper would be ideal.

                              @wilfried-Baars I’ve also used Sygic in my camper and this is indeed not a very nice and not so user friendly app. Therefore I’m also waiting on the camper options in the MRA Next app. It was promised before the summer period but don’t know whether that is still the planning. It would also be great to use that with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

                                This is entirely not true. I have been advocating in the past for the same thing. Also to set a maximum on the steepness of roads. And I am sure someone at MRA (I think it was before Corjan's entrance) already mentioned it being on a list for future development. I can imagine a feature like this has to wait until Next is matured, but hey, I think it bares a lot more interest than being a bike-route planner, on a map that does not support bike-lanes...

                                Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebar to the saddle.

                                  YES! 😉

                                  Combined with a maximum of hill climb percentages, it has value to many more types of transport that just campervans. Consider also caravans and trucks!

                                    However, despite there not being a big demand for this I do think that it would be a good addition to the toolkit.

                                      According to the MRA Next roadmap, a camper mode will be in scope of MRA Next 4.0 and ready by the end of June 2023. It is not specified what camper mode means.

                                        @Arno-0, Good catch! I am afraid the silence of MRA staff on this feature is no good news for the Camper-mode. But having a great app for motorbiking is of course first priority.
