@Robert-Collings Routes have a starting point and a destination, and perhaps some stops. Your device calculates your preferred type of route between all these points, for example, the fastest or most economical. You can edit a route by, for example, adding stops or moving the starting point. Tracks also have a starting point and a destination, but have no stops. Your route follows the track as closely as possible, ignoring your preferred type of route and traffic conditions.

@Peter-Stringer hi Peter Like Nick already said there’s no need to save a file/route that will be done automaticly. It might be usefull as a new user to taak a look at all the tutorials. Forget about gpx files because you only need those to transfer a MRA route to a dedicated device. If you’re using the next app as well you don’t need gpx Havé fun

@Peter-L-Smith In YT, you can turn on subtitles and then have them automatically translated into English.

@Peter-Schiefer I'm totally glad I chose MRA. I'm just a beginner but love it so far. I can't say enough about the forums. I posted the question, and in minutes have an answer. People are so willing to help. I can't wait to use this on our big trip this fall. Getting to know the program on some small routes. My headset was sitting in front of the back button. Would have been plain to see if not for that. Thanks again.

@Axel-Härtl if you're planning just to get from A to B and don't want to have a great time driving there any app will do the trick. MRA is mostly an app for people who want to enjoy to the max if they're driving using all kinds of roads and avoid the hiway or bigger roads. Most people driving bikes or cabrios avoid those roads. Yes I do use MRA to get from A to B just to get there. Meanwhile as a beta tester check out all the fun gadgets @Corjan-Meijerink and his mates have come up for us Have fun people

@Vincent-Cairns You can subscribe only to the navigation part of the app. This also gives you access to the Here map in the web planner, allowing you to create routes based on the Here map. However, you'll miss out on all the very handy tools that the toolkit offers, especially for the demanding planner. Are you a demanding user who wants to get the most out of route planning? Then I recommend subscribing to both the planner and a Gold subscription. On the other hand, if you only navigate with a dedicated device like a TomTom or a Garmin, you might find that a Gold subscription alone is sufficient. After creating your route, you would then need to export it to your device. If your BMW also have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you can stream your route to your BMW right from the navigation app (you do need a subscriprion to the navigationpart of the app if that's your case).
