@Axel-Härtl if you're planning just to get from A to B and don't want to have a great time driving there any app will do the trick. MRA is mostly an app for people who want to enjoy to the max if they're driving using all kinds of roads and avoid the hiway or bigger roads. Most people driving bikes or cabrios avoid those roads. Yes I do use MRA to get from A to B just to get there. Meanwhile as a beta tester check out all the fun gadgets @Corjan-Meijerink and his mates have come up for us Have fun people

@Vincent-Cairns You can subscribe only to the navigation part of the app. This also gives you access to the Here map in the web planner, allowing you to create routes based on the Here map. However, you'll miss out on all the very handy tools that the toolkit offers, especially for the demanding planner. Are you a demanding user who wants to get the most out of route planning? Then I recommend subscribing to both the planner and a Gold subscription. On the other hand, if you only navigate with a dedicated device like a TomTom or a Garmin, you might find that a Gold subscription alone is sufficient. After creating your route, you would then need to export it to your device. If your BMW also have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you can stream your route to your BMW right from the navigation app (you do need a subscriprion to the navigationpart of the app if that's your case).

@Robert-Collings : Use the 1.1GPX format for export, from the MYRoute app to the CRA of BMW.. it is important that it must not be more than 50 WP otherwise CRA will not accept it. VG

@Donald-Blackie Sorry for jumping in but I know that @Corjan-Meijerink is busy. Yes, a navigation subscription is required to navigate. The Gold subscription is for the MRA RoutePlanner. Gold gives you access to all of the planning maps and tools as well as unlimited cloud storage of your routes and tracklogs.

Hello Tom, but that is only the case if you also use the MRA app. I deliberately continue to use my zumo xt, at least on longer trips, even though I have already tried a few smartphone-based navigation apps. In Germany anyway, and especially here on the remote islands, there are always areas without decent network coverage and I haven't found the outdoor smartphone for me yet. The weather here is probably better than in Germany at the moment. High fog in the morning, sometimes light rain, but it doesn't last long and between 12 and 16 degrees. So summer by local standards. Greetings Thomas

Thanks for the welcome lads, Seeing that there are a lot of people from other countries I decided to stick to writing in English, this way i get the added benefit of keeping this skill alive. As i was reading up and learning about making routes and stuff I saw the words blog and before i knew it i was giving that a try and started writing a short story. I was wondering if I press published where does it publish it? in my own profile? or on the forums?
