hi there i am also a new user name: Eddy from the Netherlands
i did use base camp and nowe my route
question 1 i can continue a route at a ferry trick in the manual dos not work
question 2 when you make a route far away the program generates a route to the staring point

Set the travel mode to 'Auto' and select "Shortest route" under Route Optimization from the Toolkit menu. You will then navigate across the ferries without any issues.

There is an option in the app's menu to start navigation only from the starting point.
