I am Raymond Eade from South Carolina. I have been riding since I was 52. When I purchased my first GPS is when I started during ride planning. I have followed the evolution of route planning from using a dedicated GPS to using a cell phone.. I now use my cell phone in conjunction with a display unit that works with Apply Car Play or Android Auto. I find that using a display unit gives me more options than either a GPS or cell phone. I have used Basecamp for my route planning in the past but with the changes in roads due to construction or weather caused damage it just does not keep up.
