@MoToBiene said in My "wish list" for POIs: @BertM said in My "wish list" for POIs: Wenn ich es als Routenpunkt hinzufüge, kann ich Text, Farbe usw. hinzufügen. Hi Bert - that's close to my problem. I can only import POIs into the library. I can't create a collection here and then collect points. I understand now what you mean: you cannot export the POI you created in a route.

To clarify: it shows tracklogs + photos from participants that use MRA Navigation to drive the routes you upload. I don't think the timeline can be used to add details ahead of the trip. Instead I would recommend: adding those details to the routes themselves give the routes names that include the date, as well as the start and end towns, they should be easy enough to find, for example 0617 (Tue) Rosslare - Cork for a trip on Tuesday, June 17, from Rosslare to Cork. By putting the month first, you can sort the routes by name to get them in chronological order.

  • Question about ROUTE NAVIGATION VERSUS TRACK NAVIGATION!

@Thomas-Scharrer, I think you are referring to unplanned stops AWAY from the route? Yes, multiple recalculations in that case can throw off your route indeed. You can prevent that by adding the unplanned stop to your route on the fly (by long pressing on the map, or by the menu). The track navigation will not auto skip waypoints like routes do. I think it will be a step forward in your case. Remember you can always re-enter the track at a desired location, simply by long pressing on the track where you want to re-enter. But on the other hand, using routes you can also easily reroute through any desired shapingpoint by just pressing it...

I use this method Nick, but it is a time consuming hit and miss way to do this when planning a big ride with time constraints in the planning stage. An alternative would be if you could add a range waypoint at specified distances. Currently you can increase the number of waypoints in the route via the Gold menu. An additional Gold menu could be to add markers at a specified milage to suit. That would (IMHO) be even better than the range being overlaid on the Position slider as suggested but either would be helpful to enable fast planning

I ran in to the same problem for a mountain road on Mallorca and found this option in the toolkit menu: Disable seasonal closures. It solved my problem on the website and on the app as well. I don't know where Here gets this seasonal information because this road only closes in severe weather conditions??? Anyway, maybe this works for you too![image: 1734217296368-seasonal.jpg]

@Nick-Carthew That is merely a workaround for the feature that BC inherently has, without the need to load a route first! What TS is referring to here is BC's functionality to display all your routes, or a selection of them, on the screen at the same time before loading one. And I actually agree with that. It's a great feature that has been mentioned before. I sincerely hope it will be included in the website overhaul!

@Jörgen, Yes your first suggestion I have seen earlier, a long time ago. But it was dismissed because of the lack of space to make visible a complete path if it contains more than one subfolder. Especially on mobile devices. Your second suggestion I think no one can be against that, but given the fact that a completely overhauled UI is in the making, I don't think it is worth the effort to change the current one. In short: good suggestions, but probably too late

@Don-Stauffer said in Garmin XT or XT2?: Happy travels, may all of your routes be beautiful! And you. My Current workflow for touring is paper map MRA Route planner on the phone and make up routes on the fly over a coffee.
