Ik heb ook hetzelfde probleem. ik dacht eerst dat het te maken had met mijn externe scherm Maxca C5 pro via bluetooth verbinding, maar vandaag was ik met de auto op pad en had mijn telefoon bekabeld aangesloten aan de autoradio. En na de eerste stop reageerde het scherm nergens meer op en was MRA vastgelopen op mijn telefoon. Het enige wat werkte om de route weer te starten is MRA af te sluiten en opnieuw op te starten. Ik baal hier ontzettend van want dit ontneemt mij het plezier van het navigeren met MRA. Ik moet eerlijkheidshalve wel vertellen dit probleem is gekomen met mijn nieuwe telefoon de OPPO A79 5G. Ik had hiervoor een Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022 daar had ik in het begin ook hetzelfde probleem mee maar na een gegeven moment ging het een stuk beter. Ik lees dat er meer met dit probleem te kampen hebben en hoop vanuit MRA tot een oplossing te komen.

War dieses Jahr auch in Norwegen unterwegs, hatte aber keine Probleme damit. Bin mir aber nicht ganz sicher was ich eingestellt hatte. Ich meine ich habe die saisonalen Sperrungen immer aus, da ch die normalerweise eh immer zu gegebener Zeit (sprich zeitnah) erst nochmal prüfe um Überraschungen zu vermeiden.

Weiterhin viel Spaß in Norwegen.

@Johannes-Bergmark, that's exactly the problem. You are driving a track (using curvy options or roundtrips generate a track). Of you leave the track, you will be directed back to where you left of, assuming you want to drive that track.

Hopefully this will be improved in the future, to advance the track from wherever you hit it.

@Patrick-5g in MRA web planner you can convert the Track to a Route. That should solve your issue.

It would be nice and helpful if you could move the result windows up and down with the two lines ( = ) as you wish.
I do not need map view in this moment and if yes you could move the result window away.

May you have press the center info field on the phone on which you can see beside the Info the checker flag for final target, the hand for Via points or the droparrow for Shaping points. What you see there is in the CarPlay lower white Info field is the time and distance to the the presented icon, so the next SP or VP or final destination. A longer press on the iPhone on this blue info field will change the icon and Info als on the CarPlay. Alternativ if iPhone is not close fixed to your dashboard (what I do) you can in CarPlay select Settings and select the ETA symbol, press on it and change here.

A quick addendum.
I did a 60 mile route this morning, phone plugged in via cable but "offline navigation" NOT used.
The phone used 10% of available battery.
Looks like the cable solves MY issues 👍

Yes klopt, als ik de straat niet in reed wou de app mij terug sturen en na 100 meter kreeg ik een melding in het genre terugkeren naar “waypoint x” met een knop hervatten. Na enkele seconden negeren kon ik verder rijden.

@Corjan-Meijerink Vandaag opnieuw een wat grotere rit met de motor gemaakt. En inderdaad, nu "Hoogteverschil" op "uit" staat heb ik geen last van de genoemde problemen meer.

as I wrote it is tested with a iPhone and compared with the other Navi App in the Apple Universe. In this framework the power consumption is very high. In the Android Universe it's might be different but that not the point for this post.

It doesn't make sense to optimize a iPhone for a single App. It should work out of the box on a similar level.

As a toureguide I don't have time to fiddle arround with the navi. It must function reliably.

I have found a solution for this if anyone else is having the same issue. I downloaded my route to my iphone (GPX 1.1)and then opened it with MRA on the phone and the skipped waypoints remained in place. It seems if you use the sync option it does not recognise skipped waypoints.WhatsApp Image 2024-09-23 at 08.20.04_83243d72.jpg

@Nick-Carthew Once again thank you I've also watched a few videos and I'm getting the hang of it all i.e route v,s track etc

I am using a Pixel 6 Pro. My problem is not with keeping the phone charged - my problem is that the phone shuts down due to temperature. It does this even in moderate temperatures - 70 degrees F (22C), in the tank bag with the screen shut off completely, and using an Android Auto display.

So, the issue is not the outside temperature or the sun. And, I can confirm with my hand, the phone is very, very hot. Even if I keep my MRA opened on my phone in the house, it gets very hot. So it is not in the sun.

@Erdna recommends the Fossibot, which is interesting to me. Any other recommendations for inexpensive Android phones that hold up to the computing load that MRA generates?

I love MRA and would like to find hardware that can run the software without a problem!

I don't completely agree with you. Data such as road closures is temporary or short-lived. Roads — especially the roads that we (motorcyclists) enjoy riding on — don't change that often. I'm not talking about new residential areas popping up like mushrooms. But we don't want to be seen there anyway 😉
