@Paul-Croft-0, There is no reason for the choice of map to be of influence of spoken instructions. There must be another reason for you to experience that. However it is wise to plan your routes on the HERE map of you want to navigate them with a HERE map device (like the MRA App or a Zumo for example). In case you want to use both app and TomTom, in the toolbox there is a feature to compare them (so you can equal them). There is however a problem with spoken instructions in cases where a waypoint is too close to a junction. Maybe that is your reason for instructions to be absent? Or you might need to up the volume on your phone while it is connected through BT with your car speakers. And of course check the audio settings in the app first.

@Fred-Gilbert there was a Here update a month or so ago that required an update and all previous downloads were removed.

We are currently working on a massive CarPlay / Android Auto update to improve stability and general usage. Bear in mind that complex visual information such as displaying the upcoming waypoint number in CarPlay might not be possible to certain restrictions of the ecosystem Within the app we are free to do whatever we want, in CarPlay / Android Auto certain restrictions apply.

@Werner-Kaltenecker No this is not possible while navigating. You will need to restart the process from the beginning. You can choose which route point to start from after restarting.

@Lynchy67 Sounds great. By the way, the coastal superhighway between Palermo and Messina wasn't that great, IMO, and with apologies for any Sicily fans who might be here! There were some nice views, but an amazing portion of the road is in tunnels, so you miss a lot of great views. If I were to do it over again, I would skip that part and go back through the more mountainous central part of the country. Vinnie

@Rob-Verhoeff Thanks Rob, I found a system for Android to zoom in with a triple tap on the screen.

@Corjan-Meijerink Great, this is excellent news because now to remember the planned time in a stop point I have to go back to "Route Lab" and check the detail of the Waypoints list, it can be done but it is much more inconvenient than reading the planned stop directly during navigation .

@Frederick-Briggs-0, I think it is quite strange to highlight a road as if it were a route, if you don't navigate a route. Driving in urban area's I would get crazy over the constantly changing highlighted road...

Just on the scam front, for those that worry about clicking (and rightly so)... It's always a good idea to examine any link before clicking on it: on a PC just hover the cursor over the link to examine it on a phone/tablet long press on the link and examine it in the popup that appears What you're looking for is the two parts before the first single forward '/'. If that's a recognisible domain (the expected company or website name + .com, .co.uk, .nl, etc) you'll be OK to click through. Some examples - the bit that matters is in bold: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/myroute-app/id969030524 This one is trustworthy because it is part of the Apple domain. This is also trustworthy: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cloudmax.myrouteapp A safe link to this forum: https://forum.myrouteapp.com/topic/5833/update/4 For obvious reasons, I'm not going post example dodgy links, but you get the idea.

I can imagine what you mean. But take my word. In a helmet the voice sound a lot easier to the ear than on a laptop. It is calm, no sharp tones, very clear to understand in noisey (wind) conditions. The sharp tones in the default TTS engine of Android is for me the biggest problem. Other benefit of the voice i made a sample of. It is louder than the default voices of Android. Because it is louder it evens out (almost) the volume levels differences between... let say Spotify or online radio apps. When i listen to online radio on a decent volume level with my prefered app. The volume of the MRA directions has a very low volume level. I almost cannot hear what the directions are. This is not perse a MRA problem but inherent to the Google TTS Engine. Other navigation apps which use the Google TTS engine have the same problem. So it would be nice if MRA could fix this also somehow
