@Corjan-Meijerink Ooo - how about StreetView of the next junction, pre-fetched and cached so there's no delay because of poor connectivity.

That would be really sweet, but only if opt-in and automatic (i.e. no tap needed).

@Con-Hennekens as it turns out, I just went ahead and edited the route in the HERE map and everything has been running as expect. Also, set it as my default now.

Ja, uploaden in de planner, en dan is deze direct beschikbaar in de app.

De app wordt na lancering natuurlijk nog doorontwikkeld, maar er moet eerst een solide basis staan. En dit is bijna klaar.

@Ufootje, Offline maps are to be found under the 3-lines menu on the main screen, then the profile icon upper right, scroll down a bit.

Unfortunately I am forced to still use the old Navigation app, as the new Next app drains my battery even while charging, which is a big No no. I read that battery usage will be addressed in the next release. I really hope that solves the problem as right now I cannot use the new app for navigation on any decent distance ride yet 😢

@MarcM, There are a few requirements for complete offline use of the app:

you need to have maps downloaded for offline use
Downloading maps offline is always a good idea, because that potentially saves a lot of data traffic. the route you start needs to be offline
That is, if you have no active internet connection, else it will just use that, even with offline mode enabled. If you set "auto-download of routes" to enabled, you don't have to worry about routes being offline, they just are once navigate them. the app must be in offline mode
If you are not in offline mode, you will be asked if you want to. But then if you have no offline maps, you will be asked to go online.

I happen to know that work is being done to smooth the experience, but with these rules, it just works.

@Henk-Hassing, dat is ook precies wat die doet.

@Henk-Hassing Je hebt wel een punt denk ik. Als je een route gemaakt hebt in de planner onder de modus "fietsen" of "te voet", dan wordt in de app turn-by-turn navigatie al niet meer aangeboden, maar kan je enkel navigeren door de lijn op de kaart te volgen. Maak je in de planner een route in de modus "rijden" dan heb je uiteraard wel de beschikking over t-b-t. Ik vraag mij dus af of het kunnen wisselen van die modi nog wel enige zin heeft!

@Ad-V, Ik snap niet precies wat bij jouw dan niet gaat. Je kunt MRA Navigation compleet vergeten, de nieuwe Next zit ingebakken in MRA Mobile. Druk he menu met de 3 streepjes links boven, druk routes, kies je routes en druk navigeer. Géén Navigation meer nodig (en die zal kort na release van Next ook een keer stoppen).

@Corjan-Meijerink, that could explain why an URL can't be reached, if the DNS server of your previous provider is unreachable (they often allow only traffic from their own network).
