Location freezes after phone locked/unlocked

Hi, I am a fairly new user to MRA and am building my understanding.

I am currently on a tour and am experiencing an issue I hope somebody can help with.

While navigating a route, if I put my phone on the lock screen, when stopped for example, and then unlock and restart my navigation, my GPS position consistently freezes and no longer updates.

If I try to resolve by cancelling the route navigation and then restarting I get the same problem. The navigation will restart and update my location at that specific time when I restart the navigation but then no longer updates as I am moving.

The only way I have found to get it working again is a full restart of the phone, which obviously takes some time and is very distracting.

Has anyone else had a similar issue which was resolved?

Are you talking about the native use of the app (on your phone) or about the use of an Android Auto or Carplay device?

Check the app permissions, whether it is allowed to "always" instead of "when in use" for both battery usage and location services. See if that helps.

Hi, native use of the App. Background battery use is enabled and location services are set to all the time but unfortunately I still get this loss of location updates.

@Steve-Cuttell, hmm, I have never seen this behavior before. if this problem is reproducible, I would open a ticket on the support page. MRA will likely ask for a log file.
