Sharing a Google Maps location

Whilst I admit this can be done directly in Google Maps; sharing a location found in Google Maps with other apps. I used to be able to do this with my Garmin, the Garmin Drive app handled this and passed it to the GPS, prior to me seeing the light and going over fully to MRA. Currently MyRouteApp isn't one of the options that comes up, maybe worthy of consideration?

Perhaps a screenshot could help!@Corjan-Meijerink, I think what @Charlie-WIlder means is that if you open gMaps, tap a location, tap share, tap "more", some apps like HERE WeGo and Osmand pop up as target. MyRoute-app does not.

@Con-Hennekens Yes, exactly that, thank you. Whilst it does provide a Google Maps link, such as https://maps.app.goo.gl/98a18yyLfbfKN7aj8, the likes of Garmin Drive managed to translate this into a viable long, lat to pass onto the GPS.
Having clicked the share button in the Google Maps app I get the following, Gamin Drive appeared here when I had it installed (since deleted after I sold my last Garmin and defected to MRA

So the fun thing is that apps can indicate what type of urls need to be associated with the app. We don't "hijack" other urls because it's not really allowed. Imagine you clicking on a link from myrouteapp.com and another app wants to open.
Nothing is stopping the apps from doing this but it's not really allowed and therefore we don't do it. Clicking a common link with GPS coordinates can be opened with our app.
Note: iOS handles this completely different.

@Corjan-Meijerink tried it and after trying again and again it worked. Not very cliΓ«nt friendly but it works. Looking up the address in the search area is easier for ME
