MRA CarPlay mit Remotek One

@Huibertus, of course you can try to buy a BarButtons at https://jaxeadv.com/barbuttons/ but from what I hear he is not very responsive anymore. I have been in contact in the past and have build multiple BBs myself. I would be happy to sell you one (send me a DM if you want to). Yes it is a bit clunky, but it works fine and the buttons are a great fit to gloved fingers.
On the other hand, it seems counterintuitive to have your phone open, running the MRA app on your handlebar just to be able to operate the carpuride. I think you are better of with a AA/CP device that has a controller, or a phone to replace your carpuride, and a BT controller along with it.
@Con-Hennekens hi Con, I think you're the AA/CP specialist, not me. I can only see, there are a lot of issues reported wit using AA/CP, especially in combination with a remote controller.
That's the reason, I decided for a device from DMD incl. one of their remote controllers.But unfortunately, the Remote-2 controller model is still not supported by MyRoute-App. Some functions are working, some not, or in an unexpected result.
Long time ago, I asked here if we can follow in MyRoute-App the the example of DMD: offering a table in UI by which the user can setup, which function should result in the App, by which signal coming from the controller. It should have a default setup, but users can change to their preferences.
May we can discuss further on in another thread, to prevent hijacking this thread?

@Guzzist, Yes, so people can configure their own compatibility. I understand that idea, but problem would be the software DMD (in this case) uses to catch the key presses I think. I really don't know, but it is definitely not my decision to make

I purchased the Remotek and it does everything it is supposed to do for me on the iPhone. However, I do not see the results of the control reflected in CarPlay. Reading the comments above, that should be possible. What am I doing wrong, or am I missing a setting?

bei mir ist im iOS die Tastatursteuerung auf Aus gestellt damit geht es sehr gut, vielleicht gibt es sowas auch bei Android

Einstellungen:
Bei der Tastatursteuerung Ein stürzt bei mir die MRA immer mal ab. Mit der Einstellung der Tastatursteuerung Aus gehts bei mir jetzt immer sehr gut. War auch ein längerer Test über die vielen Einstellungen der Geräte.

I purchased the Remotek and it does everything it is supposed to do for me on the iPhone. However, I do not see the results of the control reflected in CarPlay. Reading the comments above, that should be possible. What am I doing wrong, or am I missing a setting?
@Huibertus, only when phone is active wit MRA app in focus.

I do have the same experience. Remotek One activites are not completely shown on a CarPlay device.

Bluetooth controllers are, from MRA perspective, never promoted to control CarPlay / Android Auto because that’s not the intended behavior.
They are for your phone and the app.
Controller CarPlay / Android Auto is a whole different area. -

@Huibertus : That was before the V4.3.6, since then the keyboard control is also set to "On" under iOS ..!
Before V4.3.6, the on caused a crash when leaving the navigation, which is now done.
