Creating and populating Events should be renewed too!

One more of the most important USPs of MyRoute-app is: possibility to create events, offer it to limited friends or whole community, and manage the particpants.
But if you want other people to come to your event, your offer must be attractive! The Article must be shiny like advertisement and describe your event in perfect text format and some pictures.

But this is currently not the case!

Dear developers, please could you enhance this:

• change the field type of Information of an event from plain text to formated text. The field is very small (ugly to enter text) and it's not possible to prepare a nice text, because of missing text formats like bold, italic, lager font size, head lines, text colors or bullet list.
  Also for the readers, the field has same size. Also ugly to read because the reader need to scroll in the text a lot!
  Why it couldn't be Like in Travel Stories? There we have all that fancy stuff to enter content in applicable format.

• and the field Information should become bigger (after font format is available) to get the feeling as a poster. We would like to do atvertisement for our events!
  If needed, the area for Organiser, and Participants could become smaller.

• or/and would it be possible to devlop a solution to be able to attach a pdf document to the information of an event? So, the readers could download it - to get p.e. something like a poster?

• by the way, a link (procedure) to download the event (may only the date) into users local calendar (ics file) will be appreciated also. Nowadays it's state of the Art...

• there is the possibility to upload a picture for the "avatar" of the event - like in Travel stories. That's nice, because this creates a high recognition value in the list of events.
  But unlike in Travel stories, it's not possible to upload an image for the background in field Information in the event. It's a hard coded picture, but the also hard coded text color isn't easy to read with that background image.

• the Area for Messages in Event looks like from former centuries SMS: there is only a micro field to enter the text for a message! Pleas please make this enter field wider and with more lines to support easy entering of text. And also here: please give the possibility to enter formated text! Currently, not even a line break is possible!

May this issues will be eliminated by big rework of web page next time.
Or our powerfull genious developers can mitigate it sooner?
Please @Corjan-Meijerink could you check the issues, and tell us about the future of Events. I can se, you are fixing unbelievable rapidly a lot of issues with Android Auto and Car Play. But other users, which are not riding wit such devices are waiting for fix of issues too.

I'm surprised at the lack of response and no discussion here.
Apparently, the group of bikers who only plan routes from A to B, or a circular route lasting 1 hour, or who use AA/CP, are louder. And they seem to be tying up all the developers' resources.

This is somewhat frustrating, as many other tools on the market offer these simple planning tools. However, MRA has much greater potential—but it should also be kept up to date.

Long-distance travelers, storytellers, and event organizers need these special capabilities of MRA...

I can only agree, the overall focus is missing. The MyRouteApp/MRA Web Planner can do much more than just know and use a lot. The MAR app in MRA V4.4.x is/was already very good, so why the launch of the MRA V5.0 beta now?

The Web Planner will soon need the full, preferential attention of the developers. What Guzzist wrote is also a wish for me... MRA can do a lot, but the fine-tuning is still missing, as described above...

Guys, we are talking about a small dev group. One big project at a time please. You bought a subscription for what it does, not for what it might do in the future. That being said, devs already promised a large scale overhaul of the web-planner. Just be patient, it is already being worked on.

@Con-Hennekens I posted it in "General Discussion" - simply to start a discussion and to make visible, there are wider expectations from users as currently are apparently perceived.
The features mentioned are there, but they are no longer up to date, or no longer work as they did, after updates.

I am certainly not making a demand, but rather exercising patience. I would just like to provide input for the website redesign in good time – before the work is finished and it is too late.

@Guzzist, at the moment I am totally unaware of any plans of beta versions. I think it is too early for that. And to be honest, too many individuals trying to force their own important stuff into any program will lead to chaos. The foundation needs to be thought up by knowledgeable people with consensus. I have confidence in the dev team

But somehow your comment to me feels a little harsh and patronising. That may not have been your intention. It may be that something was lost in translation...

@Guzzist, no that is definitely not my intention, sorry if it feels that way.
What I meant is that the foundation needs to be thought up by the dev team and their inner circle. They are quite capable. People like you and me come in afterwards to give their opinion about the program, and their ideas will or will not be taken as advice. I think no-one can program software around all good intentions and ideas that are given in advance, given the fact that everyone has individual and very diverse ideas of what they think is important. Advice from the forum is perfectly fine, but the dev-team will always be leading.

Groups and events will definitely be completely overhauled.
After the v5 app release (and some expected feedback / fixes after) we will shift the focus to developing the new website.

When working on that we will definitely rework how groups / events work entirely.
