    Hi,

I have just now watched your great video about "ROUTE NAVIGATION VERSUS TRACK NAVIGATION!"

I generally prefer to drive my routes exactly as I plan them but I might have an unplanned stop for lunch or filling fuel etc and in such cases I had often serious problem with the navigation because it wanted to redirect me in strange ways.

I think these problem should be solved now (I hope) with the new track navigation feature.

My question is now, should I now convert all my routes to tracks to be sure I can ride them as I have planned or will it simply be enough to use the function called "navigate route as track"?

Unfortunately I will not be able to test the new functionality before next year spring because here in Norway it is winter now but I am really looking forward to test this out.

    Regards,
    Thomas

@Thomas-Scharrer To be fair, the issues you had should just not happen.
Stopping for lunch should not really give issues. Just stop navigation when you stop and click resume when you want to continue 🙂

Converting to tracks won't be needed just enable the setting as you mentioned it.

@Thomas-Scharrer, I think you are referring to unplanned stops AWAY from the route? Yes, multiple recalculations in that case can throw off your route indeed. You can prevent that by adding the unplanned stop to your route on the fly (by long pressing on the map, or by the menu).

The track navigation will not auto skip waypoints like routes do. I think it will be a step forward in your case. Remember you can always re-enter the track at a desired location, simply by long pressing on the track where you want to re-enter.

But on the other hand, using routes you can also easily reroute through any desired shapingpoint by just pressing it...

I am just an enthusiastic MRA user, and hope you will be one too!
