Create route without waypoints
-
Hi everyone, how can I create a route to my liking without waypoints? Or, create it with waypoints but then delete them without the route changing? Thank you

Hi, you need to add WP (in this case forming points) to give your route the right way that you want. Otherwise, the route from A to B is calculated by the system according to the settings (Fast or Curvy). The question then is whether this is the route you want.
So it only works with a few WP. You can then save or download this route as a track in GPX format.

What is the background for your question?

@Albyus, Why would you want to do that? Routes with waypoints are much more flexible, and can be navigated completely offline in MRA Navigation. Changing them to a track is like a downgrade.

@Albyus Like this?
Without waxpointsWith waypoints.

@Albyus seems like an odd question. Waypoints are what makes a route "to your liking". If you are happy with what the system automatically calculates based on its settings (e.g. curvy route or not, avoid motorways or not, etc.), then all you need is a start and endpoint. Note, however, that unless you navigate using the resulting track, your navigation system is unlikely to calculate the exact same route based on only the start and endpoint.

@Albyus if you have auto skip enabled in options then the WP will be skipped after 3 recalculation. You can also easily skip the waypoint with a tap on the next WP in the upper right corner. If you read the manual there are other options for skipping waypoints as well.

@Albyus I suspect that you skipped a viapoint (hand symbol). If you have 'Automatically skip waypoints' enabled, you'll be redirected back to the viapoints. Viapoints (hand symbols) are never skipped. If you don't have 'Automatically skip waypoints' enabled, you'll be sent back to every waypoint you skip.
