Annoying speed related zoom!
-
I have been trying to swap over to MRA Next navigation after many years of TomTom use.
MRA has so many good features, but I have found it irritating to ride with.
I prefer to ride with the screen in ‘tilted’ mode to replicate the TomTom screen, but in this mode the speed related zoom is driving me crazy.
Every time I glance down at the screen, there is a different zoom factor!!
I tend to ride twisting roads where speed is always changing, so this is very irritating.
Apparently this type of zoom is not active in the ‘top down’ view, which I don’t like.
Yesterday, after several weeks of trying to use MRA, I finally gave up in frustration and switch back to the TomTom app.
I really want to use MRA as it has so many useful features.
Does anyone know of a way to switch off the speed related zoom.?
I really want a screen view that replicates the TomTom.
Any ideas? -
@SteveV Sorry, that's not possible.
We have made further improvements in the 4.1.2 release coming soon!Suggestion to turn off the speed based zooming has been noted

Thanks. I’ll give it another try in a few weeks.

I guess you mean the "3D drivers perspective"?
It is surprising no one else has mentioned this before indeed.
Although I really don't think it is better for mountainesque twisties."Fixing" the zoom factor is a nice idea, for twisties indeed. But only if available from the main screen, as an extra button between the + and - zoom for example. This way it is easy switching back to auto-zoom when you passed the mountain pass.
