Fail to use ferry in Here
-
I have been trying to include ferry service of dutch river ferrys in Here,.
The MRA calculates teh drive around to the nearest bridge even when pisitioning the routepoint in the cenyter of the river , and on the dotted line of the ferry service.
When cancu;ating in "open street map" and TOM TOM it will use the ferry.
Is there a way to solve this?

Hi Stephan,I know the issue.
I found some kind of workaround, that works for me:
Place a waypoint directly on one side of the ferry and then on the other side. Select the waypoint on the other side of the river an mark it with the skip waypoint symbol (small car symbol on the waypoint informations), This will make a direct line between the 2 points and after you reach the other side of the river all is fine again.Tom

@Stephan-de-Bie Sometimes using the Shortest option in Route optimisation in the toolkit works, but this could also effect the rest of your route.

@TomOnTour said in Fail to use ferry in Here:

This method works, especially when driving track. But be aware that MRA's own Navigation tool does not recognize that skip waypoint symbol, and will draw a deviation while navigating the route. The "shortest" option @Nick-Carthew proposed is a better way to go, although your entire route must be reviewed and it is not available for the motorbike transportation profile. It is for car, and that's usually fine for motor riding too.
