Android Auto Connectivity
-
Good day everyone. I've read on a few posts here, that there have been a few problems with connectivity with regards to Android Auto. Had to go shopping this morning in the car and thought I'd connect the phone up, and run the App through the car. The first picture you see is the App with all the information displayed, which was working just fine.
The following pictures are what was on the display on the car screen.
So I switched to Google maps, and as you can see all was working as it should
Is this one of the problems that people have been experiencing. Please don't think that this is a moaning post, it's not. I just wanted to highlight a problem that you might not be aware of. On the way back it connected, and worked as it should. On the few times I've used this in the car, it is proving to be a bit hit and miss.
All the best -

Even if it was! No worries
Thanks for the feedback. A huge update for Android Auto / CarPlay is scheduled for end of this month. We're aiming for beta testing end of the week - just working on some final (very complex) details! -
I am not sure if this got resolved. I found this similar issue on March 5 2024. Seemed to be working fine, but somewhere along the way (full view of sky) the arrow turned sideways and was going in the wrong direction. Google maps/Waze worked fine, so I know its not the GPS chip in my Pixel 8 Pro.
Thanks in advance.

I'm still having problems, but with the expected update coming soon, I hope all will be well soon Fingers crossed. -
Been shopping again in the car, and as before, I connected the Smartphone to be able to use Android Auto. It's still hit and miss as to whether or not it works correctly. To start with everything was great as you can see from the pictures below
Don't pay too much attention to the 90 yds direction Right on the car screen, and left on the app, it's just I came into the petrol station another way.
It then went to as per the pictures at the top of my 1st post above. I don't know if the major update has gone ahead yet.
When it works I love it, but as we all know you're on the case, and it'll get sorted out in due course, so not much to worry about really. -

Just to give you a bit more information. I had to go down south for a while, and was using the App in Android Auto, all was well, until the return trip. As you can see the App is working perfectly,
.
but this picture below shows that it's having a bad day in the directions department
The directions in the top left of this picture stayed the same for about 20 miles or so, and at no time did the direction change to the right or ahead. The app works a treat.
As I don't want to keep hassling you with this all the time, have you an update, about when the update for Android Auto is due.
I really want to buy the lifetime offer, that's on offer to me at the moment, to complement my Gold lifetime subscription, but this one small issue is holding me back from the commitment to purchase it.
Best regards. -
Wondering what version number the 'big update' is going to be. As of March 10 2024, I am on Android version 4.0.8-244. Hoping this is sorted soon. I picked up one of those cheap Made In China 5" Android Auto/Carplay units. Seems to be decent for what I paid for it. Would love to see if this MRA app issue with Android Auto has bee resolved.

Update 4.1.0 is in the making over the last months.
Last weeks we are preparing for release to the public but encountered some final issues which we are resolving.Expected release is currently set for this week (yes, we said that last week too)

Still getting the same issue's as above, when connected in the car. Would uninstalling Android Auto, and then reinstaling it make any difference. I'm using a good quality usb cable as well. However when I'm out on the bike, and using the App, it's perfect. Both with mobile data, and using the downloaded route, and offline maps
