Like MRA Openstreet map has multiple different routing options available
      openstreetmap-routing-options.jpg

First question is which OpenstreetMap routing options does MRA use for "Car" & which routing option for "Foot" ?
(I don't care about Cycle but if you know the answer someone else may like to know 😀 )

Second question is how long does it take for MRA to update its OpenStreetMap routing database?

In other words if I edit OpenStreetMap to correct a routing error it normally takes about 48 hours for this edit to become live at https://www.openstreetmap.org/
So how long before this corrected routing for openstreetmap would appear in MRA?

I know I can use other routing options, Here & Tomtom for the road, but for Walking in MRA the only option is OpenStreetMap

Hi @Nick-Carthew, thanks for the reply.

Simple OpenStreetMap edits can appear live on the openstreetmap site within the matter of a couple hours.
Most edits will be viewable within 48 hours & the delay is really only if it is a complex / large change & you have asked for it to be reviewed / checked.

Simple edits I did this afternoon to the openstreetmap map are already visible in MRA on the openstreetmap map overlay within MRA.

What has not updated in MRA is the openstreetmap routing corrections that I applied to several paths a week ago, hence my questions over which openstreetmap routing option MRA uses & how long does it take for MRA to update?

@Brian-McG I think @Corjan-Meijerink is better placed to answer your question.

Some more information that might help understand.

A week ago planning a walking route in MRA through the routing failed due to an error in the Openstreetmap data for the green path indicated by the red arrow. Neither MRA or Openstreetmap would correctly route down the green path.

The data for the green path has been corrected in Openstreetmap & it now routes correctly on the Openstreetmap site as can be seen below

So the questions is how long does it take before the MRA routing with openstreetmap synchronises so that a route like this is calculated correctly?

We have our own custom routing server for OSM based on their original map data. For car / cycle we use very similar routing to the original OSM server. We do however have a custom motorcycle algorithm which we can tweak to our own likings.

Regarding map updates, we usually update all OSM map data once every 2 months unless there are very significant road changes 🙂
