    • There are still a few who are experiencing a delay with the route arrow. Sometimes it's an outdated device that's causing this. No idea what kind of device you're using?

    • Absolutely correct. MRA is in conversation with the map supplier Here about this. There's still room for improvement there.

    • For the automatic skipping of waypoints, an algorithm exists. It's quite a complex topic to explain. Here's a link that you might find useful: Autoskip

      • Im using it on a Oneplus 8 pro. Android 13, Snapdragon 865 with 12GB of ram.
Its not the newest device, but it should be more then capable for the MRA app.

      • I see, thats a pretty ok explanation. I however do very much disagree on the way of doing this. For me personally it makes the auto skip via points useless. Ive put them in the route for a reason, not for the routing to completely ignore me while im actually "on" the route.
The auto skip feature should be a viable method for roadworks, when i have to drive around a bit to get passed them and not have to manually skip a point.
For now i have just turned it off.

The lagging behind makes the app unusuable for me sadly. And it is not something i expected in a app u pay for. With a navigation app u should be able to look at it and "know" where u are instead of having to think "oh yeah the app is at least this far behind my actual positition". This should have been fixed a long time ago. Its not in beta anymore, this is very much a Beta problem.

This is the first navigation app where i encountered this.

In that case, make that waypoint a 'viapoint' (handsymbole). That will never be skipped automatically!

This is the first navigation app where i encountered this.

Sometimes it will help if another app wich uses the gps signal is active in the background. You could try this as well.

          @Rob-Verhoeff
That would require to make all points a hand symbol.. Thats a silly option.

Its far easier to simply not use a the auto skip function because that honestly makes the routeplanner unreliable.

I have tried to have google maps running in the background. This didnt make any difference, except use more battery which is already a issue.

A couple of problems im running in to with this app.

1: The navigation marker runs about 30 / 60 meters behind where u actually are. This is unacceptable for a navigation app.

2: Battery gets depleted faster then i can charge it. Especially wireless charging, yes i know this is a known issue.

3: When u have "skip points automatic" on. It changes the way it routes. It doesnt only skip points when u go the wrong way or take a diversion. But it also routes around some points by itself. This shouldnt happen.

Especially the navigation marker lagging behind i think is a big problem. It will make u miss exits and go the wrong way.

@Barry-Siemons hi Barry, I'm happy that I just read this, as I experienced the same issues as you have.

Also a delay of the arrow, crossed the corner and arrow is still on the corner.

What the charging concern, I have an 3 year old Samsung S20+ and cabled charging, but almost empty after 4 hours.

So MRA has some things to do, before I take a subscription

That isnt the biggest issue of the post though šŸ™‚ The lagging behind is.

@Barry-Siemons try running a GPS app (such as Google Maps or Speedometer. It normally helps.

@Barry-Siemons, I think the auto-skip function works really well. And yes, It has been skipping some waypoints without an obvious reason for me too. But it still outweighs the continuous manual skipping when roads are closed or waypoints are too far off by far.

I am just an enthusiastic MRA user, and hope you will be one too!

@Doug-Robinson I have but that does nothing for me.
Also with MyRouteApp being a increadible battery hog this is a extra load making the battery life even worse so its objectively not a good idea.
