Navigation Next - Current location is a little laggy

Hi,

I'm running Navigation Next on an Android 12 mobile phone and I'm finding that, compared to Google Maps, there seems to be some lag between my actual current location and where the vehicle icon appears on the map.

This sometimes leads to confusion over exactly where the next turn is, especially in town areas where available left and right turns are much closer together.

Can anyone suggest any changes to either the app settings or the phone settings to help speed up the current location response?

@dungbeetle this is a problem still being worked in by developers. Some users have reported that running another GPS program in the background for some reason seems to improve the situation. I tried running Speedometer in the background and it does seem to improve the problem.

Ah, OK Doug.

Good to hear that it's being looked into by the Devs.

In the mean time I'll try running another GPS app as you've suggested.

Just wanted to report back and say thank you for your advice.

Whilst out on a ride this morning, I ran another GPS app in the background as you suggested and there was a noticeable reduction in the amount of vehicle icon lag.

@Doug-Robinson seem here Doug, at the suggestion of another user, if I run Flitsmeister at the same time with the same route it seems to solve the issue. I am sure it will be solved soon by the team.
