Used for a week in Ireland - Just two issues

I have just come back from a car trip around Ireland from Cambridge, approx 1400 miles trip. I used the app for the majority of this in the car but not using carplay. I wanted to use it as I would on a motorcycle trip prior to using it on the bike later in the year on a trip to Spain. It all worked vey well but I had a couple of recurring problems (using iPhone12)

1. On a few occasions the screen text for place names/road names etc seem to change to a thickline font resulting just a solid black rectangle, totally unreadable. The only way to correct this seemed to be to Shut the phone down and re-start it.
   2 On just two occasions, I think after GPS signal was lost temporarily, naigation continued by voice but the screen froze and the arrow stayed where it was not following my couse any more. This just needed an app re-start.

One further comment is that it is power hungry to the extent that although plugged into the car USB socket the phone did not gain charge. Maybe gained a bit/lost a bit depending.

Other than the above I was really pleased and it looks like my TomTom Rider 550 has been made redundant for the motorbike
