Problem screen mode (Android)

Set screen mode to Automatic, however when it is at night, the screen does not change to dark mode
-
@Antonio-1k correct - automatic means it uses the theme of your phone. If your phone doesn’t change between dark / light, the app also won’t.
We wish to implement this in the future

@Corjan-Meijerink I am a little confused with your reply. @Antonio-1k means the dark map whereas you are talking about the app theme which (I think i am correct) does not yet currently change the map from light to dark map - we have to do that manually in the settings. Happy to be corrected.
-
@Dave-J-0 I thought @Antonio-1k was talking about the app theme as that's the only one that has an "Automatic" mode. The maps are only light / dark Which you indeed need to choose yourself as you correctly state.
We do however want to group it all together so that the app corresponds correctly with theming based on the lighting.
-
I think the right thing to do would be to have the theme stay as it is set on the phone.
What should change modes is the color of the map depending on the lighting of the day.
It is very annoying (and dangerous) to drive with a clear map in the dark of night.
We look forward to the change with great interest.
Thank you. -
@Antonio-1k, Annoying? Dark maps usually have no contrast whatsoever. I always set my maps fixed to light to avoid the "dangerous" dark maps. You can dim your screen, that does a better job then a dark map in my opinion.
-
@Con-Hennekens What I mean, is that like most browsers, vision should automatically switch to "night mode" when it is night time or when passing through a tunnel.
Currently the app does not do this and having to manually dim the screen brightness is impractical.
It would be desirable that at least there was an option that the user could activate whether or not they want "night mode". -
@Antonio-1k, yes it would. It's o the planning, like Corjan said earlier:

I think there are many things with a higher priority however.
