Offline Map Update
-
app on iPhone is going through a 'mandatory' offline update - how long should this take? It's been well over 30min so far, and no indication it is even doing anything.
Have closed the app and restarted it as well, no luck.

@GT-JWR-0 I moved your post to the closed beta forum.
-
@GT-JWR-0 depending on the amount / size of offline maps you got installed, it can take a while.
It will finish eventually and we aim to add a visible progress indicator. -
@Corjan-Meijerink : Danke dafür !!
-
@Corjan-Meijerink I have tried for several day with the older and now current version. I did not get anywhere. It gets stuck somewhere in never never land.
-
@UltraStar same problem here.
-
@Corjan-Meijerink once again, after the update to this latest version, in order to get the Offline Map Update to work, I had to:
- delete TestFlight
- delete MRA
- reboot iPhone
- reinstall all (seperately, because downloading all of USA Maps hangs up and does not work)
Then, and only then, would it once again download and say updated.
This has happened on each of the last 3 udpates for sure - this is obviously something that is happening with the software.
-
@GT-JWR I didn't need to do all of these, I deleted MRA and reinstalled - it takes only 1 minute - but I know - here's room for improvement

To add to the discussion...
Funny enough over the last few days I actually WAS able to do map updates. Even a corrupted one (by breaking it up halfway) corrected itself within minutes... I cannot imagine anything changed on my own internet infrastructure. Maybe it is an idea for @Corjan-Meijerink to monitor the availability of bandwidth at the downloadserver on regular intervals and see if they differ al lot. The problem might originate from there? -
@Con-Hennekens sounds unlikely but who knows.
Happy to hear it worked for you! I know the implementation of the offline maps should be correct but unfortunately a lot more people experience issues
As stated before, we are working on it! This week actually
